This socket set is designed for the removal, inspection, or replacement of heated and non-heated oxygen sensors fitted to various vehicle models, including Audi, BMW, Citroen, Mercedes, Peugeot, Renault, and Skoda. The sockets feature cut-away sections that allow them to fit over wiring harnesses, and they have a black phosphate finish for a durable design.
The set includes a 3/8" Drive × 7/8" × 1/2" Oxygen Sensor Socket/Vacuum Switch Socket that removes and installs vacuum switches with a 7/8" hex and some oxygen sensors. Additionally, there is a 3/8" Drive × 7/8" × 3-1/8" oxygen sensor socket that removes and installs oxygen sensors in domestic and many import vehicles. These sockets have a slot for wire clearance.
For removing oil pressure sending units on late 80's to mid 90's GM models, the set includes a 1/2" Drive × 1-3/16" × 3-1/2" vacuum switch socket. There is also a 1/2" Drive × 1-1/16" × 3-1/4" thermal sensor switch socket that removes and installs the thermal sensor switch on 1973-1977 CM vehicles. Additionally, the set features 3/8" Drive × 1" and 1-1/16" × 3" sockets to remove oil pressure sending units. The deep design of these sockets allows them to fit switches up to 2-5/8".
The set also includes M12×1.25MM & M18×1.5MM Threads Chasers, which are oxygen sensor thread chaser tools used for cleaning and re-threading damaged spark plug holes. These tools clean damaged spark plug ports and threads, rethreading damaged spark plugs, eliminating corrosion, and straightening damaged threads. This helps to reduce the chance of cross-threading.
Lastly, the set includes a 1/2" drive × 7/8" × 2" heated oxygen sensor socket with a slot to accommodate connectors on heated oxygen sensors, as well as a 3/8" Drive × 7/8" × 1-1/4" low-profile design socket for use in tight spaces.
